Gongwer Legislative, Tracking Resources Shift To New General Assembly

Posted: January 3, 2019 1:58 PM

With the 132nd General Assembly adjourned and the start of the 133rd General Assembly days away, Gongwer News Service has transitioned its legislative tools and directories toward the new session.

With the transition, directories for the Ohio Senate and Ohio House now display members of the new legislature. Those rosters will be updated further as office location and other information becomes available.

Additionally, the default location for Gongwer's bill tracking system and legislative resources will be tied to the new session.

Subscribers who use Tracking Groups to manage legislative status reports will see that their groups and preferences from the prior General Assembly are retained for the new session. The bills that were included in those tracking groups, and bills tracked in the prior legislature, will not automatically transfer over to the new session.

To access bill status reports, tracking groups and tracked legislation from the prior session, subscribers can select the 2017-2018 session drop-down option that appears in the right column of the Bill Tracking and Legislation pages.

Subscribers can also receive alerts based on keywords, Revised Code sections, legislative committee schedules, legislative activity and more.

Full details on Gongwer's tracking services are available here, and a quick start guide provides additional details about setting preferences on email and text delivery, as well as other features.

Bill tracking, alerts and other features are included with Gongwer subscriptions at no additional charge.
