HORSESHOE CASINO CINCINNATI TO HOST PREVIEW FOR INVITED GUESTS
Gaming Proceeds to Benefit Cincinnati Charities
February 13, 2013 (CINCINNATI) — Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati will host a controlled demonstration for invited guests on Wednesday, February 27 to prepare for the casino’s public grand opening five days later. Horseshoe Cincinnati team members have invited thousands of family, friends and business partners to the preview. Gaming proceeds from the night will be donated to four local non-profit organizations.
The purpose of the eight hour preview, which is required by the Ohio Casino Control Commission, is to demonstrate the operational readiness of our Horseshoe Cincinnati team members. Preview attendees will have the opportunity to try their luck at more than 2,000 slot machines and 85 table games and to dine at Jack Binion’s Steak, Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, Bobby’s Burger Palace by celebrity chef Bobby’s Flay and The Spread Buffet.
“I am confident our Horseshoe team will provide an outstanding customer experience,” said Kevin Kline, Horseshoe Cincinnati senior vice president and general manager. “This first look will allow our team members to showcase their talents on the gaming floor, and the proceeds from the event will greatly benefit local charities.”
Gaming proceeds from the preview event will be donated to:
• ArtsWave, an organization committed to enhancing the Cincinnati community with arts and cultural experiences that create vibrancy and connect people;
• The Cincinnati-Hamilton County Community Action Agency, which serves as a lifeline for low-income children, adults and families throughout Hamilton County. The organization provides assistance with employment, supportive services, home energy efficiency, early childhood education, housing and youth programs;
• Freestore Foodbank’s Cincinnati Cooks program pairs individuals seeking a career in the food service industry with professional cooks who provide one-on-one culinary lessons along with job and life skills; and,
• Talbert House, which offers resources and services in Adult Behavioral Health, Community Care, Court & Corrections, Housing, and Youth Behavioral Health for more than 50,000 clients annually throughout Greater Cincinnati.
“These non-profit groups represent examples of our community philanthropic efforts,” said Lorrie Platt, Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati Manager of Community Relations. “As an active corporate citizen in Greater Cincinnati, we will continue to support charities that we believe will have a positive impact on the community.”
